Hugo

Hugo has been nominated for eleven Academy Awards. It deserves everyone of them, and even more. Great film, the best I've seen in several years.

Go, Apes!
1/22/12; 6:45pm CST - Galen
The new prequel film, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, is now out on DVD and Blu-Ray and I've seen it twice within the last week. It has some strong points along with a few weaknesses, but still well worth watching.

Another Earth
1/7/12; 8:45pm CST - Galen
Ever wonder if there's another you somewhere out there in the universe? Maybe they're on that new planet that just mysteriously appeared in the solar system. That's the premise of the independent film Another Earth, now out in a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo pack.

Spin, Spin, Spin!
1/2/12; 1:15pm CST - Galen
The first book review of the year is for Robert Charles Wilson's Spin, the 2006 Hugo winner.

Happy New Year!
1/2/12; 11:35am CST - Galen
I hope everyone's 2012 is going okay so far. In my opinion it's gonna be the best year ever, with many more great ones to come. A pox on those dumb Mayans!
PS: The first book review of the year will be uploaded sometime later today.
